Prep12

Prep 12 is a NEET engagement programme, funded and working in partnership with Connexions.

Prep 12 staff are provided with a list of young people from the Connexions Database who have disengaged with the Service. The staff team attempt to make contact and re-engage young people back into appropriate provision and services.

The dedicated and resilient Prep 12 staff team has achieved impressive results, and supported a large number of young people back into Education, Employment and Training. Prep 12 has been funded since April 2006.

The following statistics have been compiled for the year ended September 2008:

Prep 12worked with 578 young people aged 16 – 19 year’s old
Prep 12 worked with 211  BME young people
Prep 12 referred   56  young people to a Prep 12 Connexions Specialist Personal Advisor
Prep 12 completed 757 interventions including Home visits, Phone calls or Letters Sent.
