JUNIOR YIP (YOUTH INCLUSION PROGRAMME) is a targeted early intervention and transition project working with 40 identified children and young people aged 8 – 13 at risk. We aim to support the young people in their transition from primary school to secondary school and also aim to support young people who have barriers to learning, are engaged in or at risk of anti social behaviour, educational and social exclusion. The project offers a weekly structured delivery programme which includes discussions around topical issues identified by the young people, positive activities, half term provision and an annual residential.
How our work links to ECM outcomesThrough our delivery the project incorporates and reflects the following ECM outcomes: Be Healthy Since 2003, the Junior Youth Inclusion Programme, has worked with over 150 young people, offering long term support and interventions.
